Lensbaby Blog Circle – Sunflower Studies

July 31, 2019  •  Leave a Comment

I’ve been eyeing up the cut sunflowers for sale in my local supermarket for the last few weeks and hoping the day that I have both the inspiration to do something with them and time to spare is also the day they have some for sale!

My luck was in I decided to use them for this month’s Lensbaby Blog Circle, I knew that I wanted some close up detail shots as well as some that would be a little more abstract and soft so I used the Velvet 85 and the Sweet 80 with macro filters. I haven’t used the Sweet 80 in ages and I enjoyed using it for a change.

A few of the images I shot, some with textures, some without….

All of the textures used are available in my newly relaunched Texture Shop. {I’m celebrating the relaunch with a sale until 5th August.}

The Lensbaby Blog Circle is a group of passionate Lensbaby photographers around the world, next up in this month’s circle is Jessica with a visit to Magdeburg Cathedral. Please click here to visit her blog and follow the links around the circle.
