For this month’s Lensbaby Blog Circle post I’m sharing some images of my beautiful dead roses. Whenever I’m buying flowers to photograph I always look for the ones that have reached their sell by date and been reduced, I find their slight imperfections much more interesting than the perfect flowers. Plus I don’t need to wait quite so long for them to die, that’s usually my favourite time to shoot them!
These roses were a beautiful vibrant colour when they were fresh but I love the way the colours became more muted and the petals more textured as they faded away….
I used a few different Lensbaby lenses this month so they are listed under the image along with any textures used. All the textures in this post are available in my new Texture Shop.
Next up in the blog circle is Gizella, please click here to visit her blog and follow the links around the rest of the circle for some lovely Lensbaby inspiration.
