I was really disappointed to miss the July posting for the Lensbaby Blog Circle, I got close to end of the month and realised that anything I’d shot that worked as a set of images was taken on the Sol 45 and I wasn’t able to share until the official release!
Looking at my diary and plans for the rest of this month and I realised that I was in danger of running out of time unless I found something I could shoot at home. So I was on the hunt for something different to my usual still life and flowers when I remembered the old ukulele that sits gathering dust in a corner of the spare room, no-one plays it but for some reason I’ve never felt inclined to get of it.
The old ukulele has a broken string that has formed a rather lovely curve and hooked itself back around another string. I’m really drawn to this string so for this month’s blog circle I added a macro filter to the Sol 45 and embraced the imperfection of the ukulele with lots of blur, black and white and some textures.
Next up in the blog circle is Stephanie DeFranco, please click the link to see her post and keep following the circle!
